where a young man might politely
push open the door
and spend a pleasant hour
choosing a pinstripe to advance his next
promotion—
No, this is no gentleman’s
retreat. Here, schoolboys
barge into the 9th grade science lab
to snicker at a frog trussed
in his dusty jar of formaldehyde,
preserved against
evolution.
