Photos of the Disaster

Our forebears dynamited their
grandest monuments to make room
for fire. No, to stop the flames.
Logic is lost in the extravagant
splatter of debris. One circuit
is broken to prove the secret power
of the switch. The devil
has no name in modern parlance.
But we wear red hats and recite
poems over the rubble, we keep
the tradition. What can we add
to the history of loss?
