Time
Trembling once more,
I feel the fire building,
everything turns upside down,
emotions drip into the ground
puffing up the powder.
God, you're everywhere,
let me climb a cloud,
escape like smoke,
join the dust
and drift away.
Color seeps
into these ashes,
my shadow pauses,
then rises again
in a shower of sparks,
eludes the dullness,
feels a lightness of step,
rises in a pale green sea
and jolts to life
where brave women dare.
